PART 1  WARNINGS
Gale warning 103 issued by New Zealand at 040600UTC for a belt 540 miles wide
centred on a line 31S160E to 31S178E. Gale area moving east at 55 knots.

PART 2  SITUATION
At 040600UTC.
Ridge near 21S149E to 18S170E, forecast near 24S151E to 22S170E by 051100UTC.
Weak trough near EQ150E to 08S170E, slow moving.  

PART 3  FORECAST
Within Gale Warning Area.
W/SW winds 35 knots. Very rough seas. A moderate W/SW swell. Scattered showers
and isolated thunderstorms.

Northeast of Trough.
Variable winds 5/10 knots. Smooth to slight seas. Scattered showers and isolated
thunderstorms.
 
Remaining waters north of ridge.
SE winds 10/20 knots with slight to moderate seas, easing to S/SE 5/15 knots
with smooth to slight seas within 300NM of ridge. Winds in the Gulf of Papua and
the Solomon Sea reaching 15/25 knots at times with moderate to rough seas.
Isolated showers, tending scattered with isolated thunderstorms north of 11S.

Remaining waters south of ridge. 
W/SW winds 15/25 knots with moderate to rough seas, reaching 25/33 knots with
rough to very rough seas within 90NM of Warning Area. Winds easing to SW/S 5/15
knots with smooth to slight seas within 180NM of ridge. A moderate SW/S swell.
Isolated showers.
